Remember to slow down.
When it comes to BPD, it can be incredibly difficult, especially when you have the days where moods can shift incredibly fast, and you can feel dazed and exhausted. Now I know every mental health website and charity talk about walks to calm yourself down. But there is truth to it. It can be hard to.start, and if you can, its best if you can go with someone. Someone you can either have comfortable silence with or someone you can talk to. If you have a dog, take them out, talk to them. Remember to slow down. To have moments where you can just breathe. I'm sure there is some scientific evidence to show why walking in nature helps reset our brains a little. Take a bottle of water, maybe take a snack, and a jumper. If your more creative inclined, take some pictures and possibly sketch. Listen to music. For the people with loved ones with BPD, slight encouragement can help. Suggest a small walk to slow down. But dont force. Especially in the winter months its really important to slow down, and take a breather.
